As of 1st January 2021, all shipments to the UK from the EU must clear customs like any other export/import procedure.
Before you complete your order with us, you should know:
Import/Export fees:
- Export customs fees; this is included in your iPaulownia invoice (50€)
- Import customs fees; you are free to appoint your own customs agent to do the customs clearance on your behalf. Alternatively, you can use the services of the transport company that we would be doing the transport with. Should you decide to use the services of the transport company, you will be invoiced directly from them, once the package arrives to the UK. (GBP55).
Deferment:
If you are a private individual and not a registered business, you will be required to complete the deferment prior to delivering the goods at your door. If you choose to use the import clearance service from the transport company, they will handle your deferment and charge a further 50GBP for the service, alongside with the customs clearance.
Before we are able to ship your paulownia order to you, we will be required to provide an EORI number for you. This is a required identity to move goods between the EU and the UK, and it is required for both companies and private individuals.
But don’t worry, the process to obtain your EORI number is fairly simple and straightforward. You can apply for yours here: https://www.gov.uk/eori/apply-for-eori
You should complete and received your EORI number practically inmediately. We will need it before handing over your order to the transport company.
